FISHING HOT SPOTS

GREERS FERRY LAKE Bass fishing improves daily with activity from the bank to 60 feet. Crappie are bunching up around shad in the cold weather. Hybrid bass and white bass are biting using spoons, inline spinnerbaits, hair jigs or swim baits near shad at 25-80 feet. Catfish are biting on rods and juglines.

LAKE MILLWOOD Bass are biting Bass Assassin Shads, Chrome Johnson Spoons with a 3-inch grub in pearl, white or snowstorm trailer around lily pads. During schooling frenzies, they will also bite square-bill crankbaits, Rat-L-Traps and Bomber Fat Free Fry, Fat Free Shads and Fat Free Guppies. Crappie are biting blue/white, white/chartreuse or blue/chartreuse jigs and live minnows near standing timber. Catfish are being caught on yo-yos, juglines and fishing noodles in oxbows in the afternoon, using blood bait, punch bait or chicken liver.

LAKE GREESON Bass are biting shad-colored Bandit 200 crankbaits, Booyah Hard Knockers in chrome/blue, Carolina-rigged Yum Finesse Worms or Christie Craws from 1-30 feet on rocky points and flats. Cotton Cordell Spoons are working along creek channel drops as well. Crappie can be caught biting minnows and jigs in brush at 15-25 feet.
